Galba, 68-69. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.02 g, 6 h), Rome, circa July 68-January 69. IMP SER GALBA CAESAR AVG Laureate and draped bust of Galba to right. Rev. SALVS GEN HVMANI Fortuna or Salus standing left, placing her right foot on globe, sacrificing from patera over lighted altar with her right hand and holding rudder in her left. BMC 43. CBN 95. Cohen 236. RIC 214. Rare. Beautifully toned and with a bold portrait, a very attractive piece. Light scratches and minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
